Done a search, so sorry if this repeats...
![]() Only alternative seems to be the metal at the front of "her" Nak. glove box. Please can anyone tell me exactly which Ram parts I need? Does it make sense to go for bigger balls (pfnaah pfnaah), as I want it to be secure enough to mount a MacBook sometimes too? Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Well, got all the bits (from Germany) and fitted them:

Wifey is also suitably impressed ![]() Superb and simple engineering. Many thanks Brendan :bow: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... Same set up as mine,, bar i have space to bolt the ball through the top of the grab handle, rather than rely on the clamp grip California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

To ZeDefender:
Could you please let me know the part number for the RAM grab rail clamp in your photo, as I've not been able to it track down myself. The only one I've seen looks like a giant jubilee clip fitting ![]() To All: I can't decide whether to opt for an Otterbox case + RAM Uni X-Grip II or Lifeproof Fre Case + Lifeproof Case Cradle (AMPS compatible) fitment. Does anybody have experience of using either of these set-ups for an iPad Mini with retina display? Are you using grab rail, seat rail, windscreen (sat low in front of clock?) or dash attachment? I'm pleased with the navfree app that I've installed, but having the iPad sat on the passenger seat is going to end in tears sooner or later!!! '57 Defender 110 XS Station Wagon 2.4tdci |

id rip off the little rubber 'nipples' in the middle as we are all punning and glue them in with super glue or something sturdier.
Have lost both of mine and now have to wedge a receipt in between ipad and holder to stop the rattle. =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

@pumaxs - it's the 1.5" ball here:
http://www.ram-mount.co.uk/rail-base-to-17...8_287.html It's a bit overkill but I use it for a big laptop too. If you go for a more lightweight version you can screw a ball onto the handrail, as shown here: https://www.defender2.net/gallery/albums/u...mage~3.jpg ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
