My Corris Grey XS 90!
Well I have finally got my 90 somewhere near complete. It is my daily driver so had to strike a balance between comfort / practicality etc. It is also used to tow quite regularly and does get dirty occasionally! Mod's so far: KBX Grilles and rear light guards, LED rear lights, Speaker headlights, Black wheel arches, NAS rear step, Sawtooth Alloys, Focal Speakers & Alpine sub, Dynamat & Exmoor trim carpet, FCX leather dash trims & door handles, Alive Tuning Sports Springs & rear ARB..... the list goes on...!

Had fun at Peterborough yesterday. Got a few good photos. Just a shame that the offroad course was a bit on the tame side, but suppose it had to cater for all vehicles and differing ability levels.

Love it Thumbs Up same colour scheme as mine (roughly) have you got spacers on the wheels? I keep thinking about changing my black boosts for sawtooths.

Looks like the anti-roll bars are causing the wheels to lift ie not getting all the full axle articulation.

I had the same problem and recently removed the anti-roll bars....much better now and I can't feel any difference to its on road behaviour.

Might be worth doing this mod too.

Cheers

Simon

Thanks for the comments. I sold my evoque to buy the defender.... Everyone thinks i'm mad!! Defender has much more character though!

With regards the wheels, they are genuine LR sawtooths. No spacers. I did try some 30mm spacers but didn't like the look. Just looked out of proportion. The alive tuning sports springs lower it by 1.5" at the front and 1" at the rear. I found this to be a good compromise - fills the arches slightly whilst retaining a reasonable level of practicality!

Spot on about the anti roll bar. It definately restricts some of the articulation. However it makes a massive difference to on road handling. Luckily I have traction control to keep me moving forward with a leg or 2 in the air!

Good for you and excellent decision... Bow down

I sold my 2011 RR Sport for a MY2010 90 XS, go figure... Milestone

Just a quickie, I like the idea of the (LED?) rear lamp cluster you have fitted, which did you go for and are they plug and play?

Are the side and indicators sized up to the same as the reverse and fog, or vice versa?

Sorry for the inane questions... Whistle

By the by, I have Black arches too... Mr. Green

Hi Venomator!

The rear lights are the 95mm SVX style ones. They are available from a number of outlets including Mobile Centre, Tune My Defender and Urban Truck. They aren't cheap, however I didn't like the look of some of the cheaper ones and knew that it would always irritate me!

Size wise, the indicators, side / brake, reverse and fog are all identical.

I got mine from Urban Truck in the end - best price at the time and excellent customer service. Ordered at 4pm on a Friday afternoon, delivered at 9am on the Saturday morning of a bank holiday weekend! The kit from Urban Truck was plug and play, and included a full set of mounting plinths, gaskets, and also an LED number plate light.

I then fitted a set of KBX light guards over the top to finish them off.

The only issue I have had is with the indicator relay. There was a Mobile Centre relay included with the kit - no clicking noise which I didn't like. I then tried 2 of the RDX relays from Bolt on Bits - these adjusted to stop the trailer light illuminating, but the flash rate was quicker than I would have liked. In the end I have settled for a Wipac relay - Flash rate is better, however there isn't enough adjustment to remove the trailer tell tale. In order to solve this, I am going to try some LED bulbs in the front indicators when I get time. Hopefully by reducing the load, I should be able to adjust the relay to remove the trailer tell tale.

Hope this helps!
