Rallye de Cimes 2014.
Great photo taken at this years Rallye de Cimes by a mate of mine, this was the last stage from Trois Ville to La Madeleine which is an epic climb that breaks quite a few racers.

Another rally on the supper tough 265/75x16 General MT tyres.

That's four French Rallies on the same four tyres with no problems on no punctures.

 Andy.

We were the only Defender 110 entered and by far the largest vehicle to thread round the mountain stages.

There will be a video soon which is taken by a good mate of mine, you need to see the stages to see the amazing scenery it's to die for and a great place for a 4x4 touring holiday. Time it right next year and you could watch the stages live which is the best way to take it all in. Thumbs Up

We were tasked by General to test these MT's and have to say I am gob smacked at how tough they are, that's four events with no tyre problems or punctures, only problem was Genuine L/Rover front radius bushes which are now made of chocolate and we had to change every other stage. Now gone away from all Genuine L/Rover bushes. Andy.

I flew over in 2002 to Biaritz rented a Mini Cooper thrashed it round the mountains chasing the action, great rally one of the best. That big hill at the end in the foret de iratty is awesome and a diff and shaft killer.
Never did the rally myself only did the Northern ones great fun, Dunes De Marias next then Plans et Vallies in November If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

Yep, we are on the boat to St Malo on the 6th Oct for the Dunes et Marais which is held in and around Royan on the 10/11/12th.

Another great rally to watch if anyone is around the area with very easy access, we allow five hours with the trailer for the trip from St Malo.

We are hoping for a little extra power if we get time with a little re-map, this is a totally different rally from the Rallye des Cimes with very fast off road tracks so a little more power will help.

Andrew Graham who runs Allisport is my co-pilot and this will be our third rally together.

Fingers crossed for another finish and maybe another pot. Andy.

When you consider how rough it was having a GoPro 3 Black and mount which we modified it is a nice steady bit of film.

It's mounted on the roll bar inside the Defender. Andy.
