Are all phone mounts rubbish?
Been searching far and wide for one decent phone holder for using the TomTom app and music etc. whilst driving.

Every single one that i have tried has had faults which make them horrible to use, some have shaken themselves loose, spun around, fallen off constantly, no gap for the charger, you name it.

Are they all a load of rubbish or has anyone found a really decent phone holder which stays put and does everything needed?

Ram Mounts Thumbs Up

Pricey, but very good. I have one for iPhone and one for iPad mini, both mounted in the cab.

Do a search for Brodit. They do clips that are specific for the vehicle, then you add a holder that is specific for the phone/device.

I've used these for years and they are 100% solid and reliable. Great kit... Thumbs Up

Cheers

I have one of these for an iPhone in a case, sticks very well, even through the most severe RTV stages and driving days, and it was cheap

TomTom car kits with RAM balls work fine for me - mind you, you have to shave a little off the socket clamp to get a good tight fit Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

That's what I've done for years.

Almost free and works brilliantly.

I actually put my phone in a thin plastic/rubber skin thing so the velcro is stuck to that rather than the phone itself and use heavy duty velcro.

Absolutely rock solid. 2003 Td5 110 Hardtop
Now a 2013 110 USW too.
