It's pretty but the price is a wee bit steep but there's £10k of vat in there that can be reclaimed!!!
Wonder what the trade in value will be in a few years 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE Last edited by jomara on 9th Sep 2014 8:00pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Talking to the chaps it is a brand new doublecab which they send to bowler who do a complete stage 1 rebuild. There was a lot of shiney bits underneath and talking to the chap who collected it it rides beautifuly but goes like a storm!

When I was at the factory a few weeks ago they had a pile of 90s and a couple of 110s in for the fast road treatment!!! A lot of the bits are very sexy and manufactured to a very high quality on site in Belper!!
Stratstone seem to be their approved supplier as it was their stickers that were all over the cars in the factory 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Bowler Land Rover Defender Stage 1 Engine Tune - £1000 Developed by Bowler and a Motorsport partner, this tune offers a substantial increase in both power and torque and delivers a much improved driving experience. Power is increased to 175hp (from 122hp as standard) and torque rises to 450Nm (from 360Nm as standard). Bowler supply and fit a new OE quality ECU that has been loaded with the Bowler maps and return the original vehicle ECU to the customer. Worth a wee look, I got a set of their challenge wheels recently can't fault the service!! http://www.bowlermotorsport.com/parts-and-accessories/ 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |

Think I've actually Driven this one
It was at Bowlers ready for delivery to the Dealer & I took it out on Trade Plates Didn't drive it like I stole it since it was brand new & not my car but what I will say is that it pulls well, very torquey. It pulled from 30 mph in 5th & easily set off in 2nd from a standstill. |

I wonder who will foot any warranty work?
Interesting as dealer is selling a none type approved vehicle and it is modified from standard. Is this why only one dealer chain is selling them? Vehicle is no longer emission compliant and will have not undergone full vehicle approval. Modifications from standard will invalidate LR warranty - as stated in dealer supplied documentation. Stating that the vehicle will come with 2 ECU's means that the file has not undergone testing and signoff from LR (as if it had it would be a containerised file that could be flashed via SDD). Does this mean Bowler become liable for faults?
