Blimey, if they can find and remove the Tracker its pretty pointless. Guess there are limited places to locate one in a basic vehicle.

Not all thefts are professional. Some significant arrests have been made with the aid of all types of trackers fitted. Its just another layer of security. And with a spike crimewave of Defender thefts its another option. Also can reduce insurance premiums.
