Headlining removal - with sunroof
I'm wanting to remove the headlining on my 2001 Td5 to soundproof /insulate.

I've read all the posts I can find but can't seem to find anything specific about removing / refitting when there is a factory installed sunroof (the tilt with circular handle variety)

How to I remove the headlining and get it past the felt surround / seal of the sunroof? Do I need to take the sunroof out to begin with?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers. Defender 90 - Tomb Raider LE
Discovery 5 HSE - yes, even despite the ugly backend.
Range Rover 4.2SC - Gone and still being missed

I have the pop and clunk variety on my 110 so it may well be different for you but my removal was as follows and fairly simple.

Undo the visors and mirror if fitted, then gently feel your fingers under the plastic strip that bridges the gap between the sun roof and the headlining and gently work it down. It is attached with tiny fir trees held within the plastic so be careful as they are a bit delicate. Under that there are some small bits of steel which grip or form a shelf for the headlining to fit onto, these are held in with a single screw so just undo and put somewhere safe.

Then undo the remaining fir trees and lift (fight) out.
