^^ Not making anything up here.
The truth is, and I have said it in some other thread already, here in Geneva there is a large percentage of Defender drivers who are sporty well trimmed, often ponytailed, blondes. And they usually comply with "the wave" practice too. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

This was parked up in the pub car park near me. I suffered a pang of jealousy. Looks like it's used with a good degree of regularity too.

2 months short of 2 years later..... The S2A is going strong as I saw this morning. Passed the farm again on my bike, and the S2A this time was outside in the sunshine. The farmer was working on his now 18 year old 90 300 Tdi, and we again had the nicest chat about his two gems and about my much younger SVX... Landie world at its best. Beautiful autumn weather here so went biking and saw the hidden gem out in all its glory in front of the farm. Has had a lot of work done of late by the farmer, including a gearbox rebuild. Looks like ready for a show, we just do not have such events here. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Then in another village around me spotted this working horse in front of another farmhouse. I'm afraid that farmer is as much an enthusiast as myself. Actually a good thing, but I keep an eye on it.👍

Interesting how more or less every Swiss series LR I have encountered has been light green - it is certainly a very popular colour.
I wonder if the single Swiss 109" 1-Ton is still there, sold to a dealer in Zurich, chassis nr 22300007. 2011 110 USW 1973 Series III 1-Ton 1972 Series III 1-Ton Cherrypicker 1969 IIA 1-Ton 1966 IIA 88" |

Went biking early morning all the way into Geneva center of town. Decided to go take a look at a car restauration specialist there, run by Italian enthusiasts, where still last week we saw the most gorgeous fully restaured 1977 Toyota FJ45. One day I intend to buy one of those... But this morning spotted this in their workshop window...
A Series 1 Click image to enlarge but also a Riley Click image to enlarge and more in the back a cream Fiat 500 and what I think is a green Saab 96 (If Zag reads this, he can confirm or correct me) Click image to enlarge Driving further to the other side of the lake also spotted this here.... After the preceeding gems, an anti-climax for sure. Click image to enlarge Eric You never actually own a Defender.
