Assuming you'd choose between all new cars, RRS is not exactly in the same price bracket, is it?
At least in Holland the RRS costs over twice the price of a Freelander. Even the Discovery 4 is twice the price of a Freelander.
The Evoque is hardly an option for people who need a bit of space in the car.

Concerning the styling one could always say it's another Bland Rover, but I'd rather have this than some sort of warzone styling of todays BMW / Mercedes / whatever...

I wonder if space has been compromised in the new Disco, given it lines are similar to the evoke. Rear boot space in an Evoke is really quite poor for the size of the car. The freelander was cavernous compared to an evoke. My Defender and travels

Another bland "sport" model to stuff another sock down their crotch. Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Why O Why O Why are JLR making the boot spaces smaller for their new ranges of vehicles, with over 10 million dogs in the UK alone, many of us want to put the pooches in the back, but we also need to carry other junk too, making the boot area smaller BIG mistake, HUGE mistake, they insist of making room/seats for non existent rug-rats, how many kids do you ever see in the 3rd row of seats. Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

I like it far more than the Evoque. I bet they sell loads. I'd take one as a replacement for my company car (BMW) and I'll keep my 90 for weekends, camping trips and shizzle like I do now. I hope they do a full fat Disco that retains all the size and capacity / capability though.

Two of my rug rats are in the third row every time we go out and the dog sits behind their seats.

Uninspiring. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

Having been in a 'product launch briefing' this morning, I can honestly say that I like it. I think it's well placed within the market, and is a vital part in the new process of creating 3 clearly defined ranges.

I'm not entirely sure however whether it's aimed at getting FL2 drivers to converts to the new D/Sport, or to get D4 drivers (who think a Disco is a bit too big for them) to buy one. It's become commonplace now to hear people say "I want a Discovery, but its just a bit too big for me", and so I believe that this would fill that gap in the range.

(Oh, and the Discovery Sport biscuits were very nice!) An engine to TDi for!
