Can anyone recommend waterproof roof bags, we have a kamei box, but it will not fit the roofrack, without buying extra cross bars, then would need to take step ladders to access it Jumped ship to reliability - Mitsubishi L200

Front Runner also do roof rack bags but think they are specifically sized for Wolf Boxes. Maybe worth an enquiry or two?

I bought two 120 litre bags by Caribee, (smaller sizes available) seem to be made from a thick Butyl type material, very spacious with a roll over top closure system which is secure by nylon clasps.
They went onto my frontrunner rack with bungees and a couple of ratchet straps. Endured a torrential downpour en route to Skye last month, contents bone dry. Heavy when loaded up so be careful when mounting and dismounting from the rack. Around the £50 mark each if I remember rightly. Only used for two trips so far but seem fine to me, plus I would think they would be easy to repair if torn or split. |
