Today I've gone from the hooligan, missile like Triumph Speed Triple to the more ponderous and relaxing world of commuting in the Defender.
Tomorrow? I'll see how the weather looks at breakfast time ........ |

Just back from a wee holiday, so late input, but I've defected after 2 GSA's in a row and many foreign trips, I've bought a Ducati Multistrader 1200 sport, I have to say I was dubious over the comfort as first, and I wouldn't overland on it, but after an 800 mile dash from France to Central Scotland on Monday in terrible weather, I have to say I'm impressed, and was in good enough fettle to use the bike for commuting the following day.
Just in case though I still have my 98 GS1100, that I've owned from new and 1150R Rockster tucked up in the garage, and for a bit for fun a Bimota SB6R and an RGV250...bikes and Defenders, absolutely!! |

Yesterday was Defender day, up on the high moors inspecting and exploring - using the vehicle for what it was designed for - a fantastic off-road driving experience.
Today is 'Wash the Defender' day and then it's 'Bike Day'. The sun is shining, the bike is fuelled up and ready to go. |
