2013 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Aintree Green
Rear door gas strut
If anyone wants to develop a gas strut kit for the rear door I'll buy two (one for a mate). Even with the rear tire off if there is any wind/ sloped parking the door always slams shut. Annoying, yes, but bloomin' dangerous with toddlers around!

My mate had half a Labradors tail cut off with this.. i am contemplating removing the spare wheel altogether as i hate the door slamming onto my legs in a wind. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

All you need to do is remove the rear trim, remove the loose 5mm bolts on the pinch bracket.
Put some locktight on the bolt and tighten again so that the latching system works.
You will find this pinch bolt loose on all your doors in due time.

Much quicker job than a gas strut

they already have these. I have seen them on one of my bookmarked pages..as soon as I find it, I will post where. must admit, that it is getting to be ridiculous having to park level to not have the door swing into you... 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

there you go, about half way down the page...looks like a normal strut, hole cut in the door plastic and attached. shouldn't be too hard to duplicate. I would try a glass storm door replacement hinge or screen door ( heavy door that is) and it might be very easy to do. Very Happy 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

no idea where the price comes from, thus my idea of stealing the picture and replicating. Whistle 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

Mulgo have them on their site in Oz, they seem custom made for the defender rear door. Not sure if they make them or import them from the UK

the stainless gas gtruts we supply are expensive, but the standard version are much cheaper

oooer Missus ! A Comparison Between Logs and Dogs
Both are very popular at Christmas,
