Replacement for Alpine unit in 2.2
I have the upgraded Alpine audio in my 110 but can only listen to digital radio through the AUX cable attached to my portable DAB.

Now....I want to keep everything as it is with the mic, Bluetooth audio etc. but just want to change the head unit to one that will have DAB.

Is there a straight swap (i.e. literally take out head unit, slot in new one) available? If so, what would your recommendations be, please?

Must be numpty proof, for me but perhaps also for Halfords techs, if I end up buying one from them! 1970 Series 2A 88"

Go for the Alpine CDE136 Bluetooth head unit with an electronic dab ariel. we have put them in lots of cars and they work really well.

Thanks for that.

Next question is how to have a DAB aerial without having any trailing wires....

Any ideas what the likely cost of all the necessary plus installation would be? 1970 Series 2A 88"

Morning Luke,

We use an electronic Aerial that goes behind the dash. No wires or screen mount aerials (that are not that good)

The DAB Unit Costs £185.00 + VAT
The DAB Aerial Costs £40.00 + VAT
Installation of both of the above £75.00 + VAT

We have it all in stock

Regards
Simon

We dont use an Alpine one. We use an aftermarket one.

The alpine windowscreen ones dont get a good earth and also pick up interference from the heated window elements.

The powered dab Aeriel goes behind the dash and piggy back off the standard aeriel on the wing
