It is with a very heavy heart I finally have to force myself to sell my beloved Defender, as Im moving house and dont want to have it kept on a driveway open to the elements rather than tucked away in a garage as I have now.
Anyone who knows me from the fullfatrr.com forum (and rrsport.com) will know that I have a reputation for attention to detail, originality, quality and preparation when doing things with my cars. Last year I sold my Range Rover and two others (on behalf of my Dad and a friend) and because of the way I prep cars (and look after them in the first place) they all sold within days, or less. Hopefully someone will want my Defender just as quickly. It has featured on the La Salle webpage and also in LRO this year. To see the type of advert I put together please take a look at these: My Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE sale Bought by a forum member http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic19732.html My Friends Range Rover 4.2 Supercharged sale (Bought by one of this forum's sponsors ) http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic23835.html My Dads Range Rover TD6 Vogue Sale Bought by a forum member http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic20334.html I bought my Defender back in January 2012 and it was always intended to be a weekend project to gradually improve upon. I've always tried to keep it looking as OE as possible and not too blinged up, but rugged and purposeful. I've always tried to use good quality parts and in particular the interior is a lovely place to be and smells of new materials. I have an extensive thread here on the forum highlighting the work I have carried out (in great detail) and I have loved every minute of it. Im hoping someone will give it a good home and look after it as I have. Here is a link to that thread. http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic10705.html Vehicle details: Land Rover Defender 2003 TD5 Hard Top Belize Green with white roof panel First Registered 20/02/2003 64,700 miles shown 3 previous owners Every receipt kept for all I've bought and done I'm a non smoker so it's not a smelly old Land Rover Purchased from Land Rover independent specialists Nene Overland, Peterborough Jan 2012 Mileage at purchase 63,050 (yes, it has only covered 1,650 miles in 2.5 years) Serviced by Nene Overland at purchase and new clutch fitted at purchase Has only covered 1650 miles since purchase 4 months Tax (£250 a year) Expires 31/12/2014 12 Months MOT will be put on it for sale 2.5 TD5 engine with R380 5 speed Gearbox Totally solid chassis and rear cross-member with zero rust, no repairs, fully painted and waxoyled, garaged since purchase. I followed your build and have to say this is one of the nicest TD5s around.
Your price is very fair, for all the work you have put into it. I hope it goes to a good home, I know I would want mine to.. cheers simon |

WOWSAS, this would have been just what I was looking for, and right on my budget...
Unfortunately, I too went to Nene... And ended up dropping twice my budget on a 90 TDCi, which I am hoping to pick up Monday 01st September! Good luck with the sale though, it does look and sound a brilliant buy for some fortunate enthusiast... PS - I did read your long thread, which is how I ended up here... |

A chap I volunteer with at the National Trust is looking for a Defender, I've passed the details on to him.
Hope it goes to a good home... Cheers Simon |

After looking through you build thread "RRUK" and seeing the work you've done you've ended up with with a stunning Defender, just right in my eyes.
If I had some where secure to keep this I would have this in a heartbeat, good luck with your sale and I hope it will go to a good home Matt |
