Drivers side sidelight bulb blows every 6 months
So it seems like about every 6 months or so I have replace the drivers side sidelight bulb.

The holder looks fine, no obvious dust or water problems. What should I be looking for now?

Hmm, do you know where the earth for the sidelight goes? The 2 wires disappear into the wing.

On the Puma the front light looms plug into the main loom at the bulkhead and the earth is via the bulkhead loom. All the front lights share the same earth block (K108 / connector C0550 behind the coolant expansion bottle).
I would be more inclined to suspect the bulb holder even if it looks ok, the contact springs may be a bit loose. Just swap the left and right holders and see what happens

Yeah, if that's the case I'll swap them over and see what happens.

I've got some Osram bulbs now which matches the OK one that's on the other side. I'll be back in six months if it happens again!
