Quite a price drop. I reckon it will go quickly now it's more realistically priced. Good luck. How's the RRS? If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I've sort of had a change of heart and decided to go for a full fat range rover. I can get one with the same 4.2 supercharged engine of around the same year and mileage. For around the same money as a sport. But after trying a few. The full fat range rover is in a different league and without some of the rrs common niggles

I wish you well with your sale and subsequent purchase someone will surely be getting a very tidy if not one of the best examples of a TD5.

Not over priced at all, good luck with the sale, looks awesome.
However thought mine was the last of the TD5's - reg March 07. Will try the history route to see when it was actually built. It's been a bit spoilt - not quite original anymore 2007 TD5 90 Hard Top |

That is a lovely original Defender.
As far is price is concerned, you get what you pay for. In many instances, over the years, I've seen people going for the "cheaper option", only for that choice to backfire big time, when after carrying out necessary repairs, maintenance etc etc, the cost of the vehicle ends up being in excess of the more immaculate vehicle they could have bought, and still not as good. I had a conversation with a lovely chap the other day about my defender and when I told him how much I wanted he nearly fell off his chair. He said for that money he'd rather buy new. But you won't get new for £17000. And you can't get a new td5 anyway. And because the shape hasn't changed and this has such low mileage. It's as good as a new one anyway. A friend of mine has a 63 plate 110xs utility. And the bodywork on mine is as good as his.
