I have a genuine OEM battery that i've taken out of my MY13 110 and replaced with two Optima batteries.

Martin is correct. Most couriers would declare a wet acid battery a prohibited item and would not carry them.
AGM batteries are acceptable to couriers as there is no free liquid acid. Brendan |

There are hundreds on Ebay for sale and postage seems doable? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Just because they are on eBay with postage costs included most couriers do not want to take wet batteries.
Parcel force will only take dry cell batteries in original retail packaging. Royal Mail specifically prohibits wet cell car batteries under the dangerous goods act Interparcel prohibits ALL car batteries. A wet cell car battery is likely to leak acid if put on its side or upside down which is dangerous. Putting this way up arrows is of no real use. Just because eBay sellers do certain things does not make them safe or legal! Yes you might find certain couriers willing to take a wet cell car battery but you will pay a premium for that service.
