Sold the TDCI, bought a TD5
For reasons discussed elsewhere, I have bought a 110 TD5 CSW.

Flew up to Edinburgh to get her and have just stopped in Cumbria for a night. Lovely chap selling her. Demo plus him as owner and FLRSH ( whatever that is worth!!). Rear doors just starting to show rust but chassis and bulkhead lovely. Wax oiled from new.

Hannibal rack new last year and roof tent 2yrs old. OME suspension new this year. Mantec wheel carrier last year. He put 12 months on her, 12months tax and 5 new boosts with new tyres. Lovely chap threw in a brand new boxed set of TF 30mm spacers and steering damper too. He dropped it in for a service yesterday to keep the stamps up to date.

Suspension is lush. Couldn't believe how nice compared to the 2.2's from the factory. Pretty short geared first impression. 60mph good, 70 is busy! Interior is immaculate. Prefer the gearbox but wish it had 6 cogs.

KBX lights look wrong without the grill !!

Overall a happy chappie for £11k inc a full tank!

Looks nice, thumbs up for another nice Td5.
I could have had a new one but opted for a late Td5. Better sound, easy to tune, less invasive dash, a proper defender just as God intended.

Lovely wagon! Td5s are fantastic, kinda missing mine in some ways! 1.222 transfer box ratios are the way to go if you don't do much towing and/or are planning a few tweaks to the engine, mine sat comfortably at 70+mph. Enjoy her! Pete

Go camping next week in her Thumbs Up with the wife and kids.

1.22 mod sounds like a must. Was going to get it lightly breathed on first.

Arrest the decline of the rear doors. Get some SS bolts as some are shockingly rusted. Fix the pax side seat heater as no light in button or heat in the seat.

Consider the wheels. I might try the spacers supplied or put my wolfs on or start afresh with something else. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Changing the transfer box is really worthwhile but needs to be combined with either a stage 1 or 2 remap.
Otherwise it's even more gutless.
I had Ashcrofts fit a new the transfer box in a day and they even have a loan car. Thumbs Up They will also change the gearing in your existing box for less but mine needed replacing.
