Super Pics. Thanks for sharing. I dread to think what the ferry must've cost. But cheaper than renting a vehicle locally?

Nice, thank for the effort, look forward to the diaries. How long would you stay for if you were to do it again. My Defender and travels

Both Faroes and Iceland was 3 weeks, but next time I would just do 3 weeks on Iceland as I've already done the Faroes. Definitely worth going to the Faroes if you've never been though!

Ha. Is that all?! Well you can't take it with you and you've taken your LR to Iceland which is a memory for ever. |

Great pictures Higgers. Looking forward to the full trip report.
We did Iceland back in 2008 when we had our D3. Ferry was quite a bit cheaper then, think we paid around £1300 iirc. That was when the ferry sailed from Scrabster. Our three days on the Faroes were on the return leg, and I must say we don't share your enthusiasm for the place. One day would have been more than enough for us. David. |

Nice trip. Where did you drive?
I did Iceland the easy way this summer by flying and renting a 4wd-ish. Iceland is very nice but I think it will get to touristic very soon as you see in the northern part already that you have to pay to walk to some places were you could walk freely a few years ago. I drove this: Click image to enlarge Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |
