Your thoughts would be much appreciated -
Had what I believe to be an intermittent problem from the start but had numerous other issues which have hidden this problem on and off. The problem seems like excessive injector knocking. Having replaced some sensors due to me thinking they were the problem not really made any progress. Recently someone suggested my problem could possibly be the result of a dodgy clutch switch / wiring of and as such the voltage to get switch was checked and appeared to intermittently fluctuate. The other day while the engine was ticking over I was wiggling the harness and spotted the turbo actuator move up / down? And today I recall taking def to LR for new prop and asked them to check the egr which they confirmed was ok but they did remove and clean several of the engine sensor electrical plugs - drive home was perfect... So I'm thinking there's some dodgy wiring somewhere under the bonnet. What do you think? |

I see you being the tip of the iceberg or rather your car is. They have become too complex for their own good and I can see there being a reaction to or a revertion back to simpler more mechanical engineering. The technology is simply not robust enough yet if it ever will be.
So yeah I think your on the right path but how to sort the issue I have no idea. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon. |

and a perfect drive to work this morning.
and the only thing I did yesterday was jig and poke the engine wiring and replace the rear door harness. clearly the rear door harness has not effect so once again its all pointing to the engine harness - wouldn't know where to start in terms of testing it but I guess replacing it can't be too difficult - time consuming yes difficult? |
