familymad, are you offering to help courier these, or are you asking for help? I'm new as I'm sure it is obvious so thought I would ask. Thanks!! |

that would be great, I would be most greatful! I'd be in for the roof rack, tires, and tree sliders if I can still get back in for them. Paul Crook in Peterborough is sorting my 110 and can arrange to meet you for collection. |

There are members who want all the bits listed but please understand that I'v been put out the house and my ex wants everything away ASAP . Unless I see exact details and deposit or payment then it's up for grabs . I will skip everything if no one is interested
Thanks for your understanding Keith |

KEITH, DONT SELL ONE THING. The landy family will always be here, always willing to lean over a wing and stair into the engine bay with you, even if we cant fix it. I know today sucks, but there is life again. Good life too after the cold has gone.

/\/\/\ What they say!!! Find somewhere to store everything! There is a way somehow. I've been divorced twice, at times things look bleak, but you can reinvent your life. Keep your interests alive and very best wishes

Sorry Keith for your troubles at the moment ..I can only agree with the above couple of posts. If you can keep anything (even if you don't feel like it at the moment) then do so and sleep on it for a month or so. I lost pretty much everything in a divorce with a 'can't be arsed .. Have the lot' attitude. Apart from normal things I also lost my hobby that was a 70s VW camper which I regret ... Take some time and best of luck.
Obviously you're a grown up and can do what you want so feel free to ignore me 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

Keith,
really sorry to hear about your current situation. However the next few days, weeks, months pan out I sincerely hope that in the not too distant future things have all worked out for the better. As with most divorces you'll end up less well off - but so often that is only in terms of money other aspects of life (the more important stuff) can take an upward turn. Hoping it does for you. - as said before 'keep your chin up' and perhaps next time you're passing the midlands you'll have time for a coffee. |

Sorry to hear of your troubles but make sure you get a good solicitor that specialises in divorce, particularly if co-owned property is involved, or if you have pension, either drawing it now or in the future, as your spouse is entitled to half of all payments made up to and after the divorce.
I know that if you have children you want to do the best for them in these situations, but don't give in. I have seen so many men come away with a very raw deal in divorce settlements no matter what the reasons are for the split. If you have a joint bank account get the bank to freeze that as well as with any other shared money accounts. Sadly your wife could also claim half of any monies you earn selling your Land Rover kit. |

So either sell it expensive to compensate, or very very cheap to her off (I had a colleague who did the latter to his cheating partner with all their possessions). He was in trouble and pretty much broke for a while but then so was she (had to work for the first time in her life) - no kids though.
Really sorry to hear of your woes. I can't imagine what it's like but I just hope you come out on top in the long run. Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
