You were lucky, that looks like a Brown Recluse spider, if it is one the bite is highly venomous. 110 Hardtop

Gawd, I hope not, I was told it was a Huntsman!

I did a bit of tree felling while I was there and there were loads of them hiding underneath the dead bark and in nooks and crannies. If it is what you say I did have a lucky escape. 2015 90 XS CSW TDCi - Beautiful

Definitely a huntsman. A Brown Recluse only grows to around 20mm. A huntsman grows to around 300mm!!!!
I bet you Censored yourself when you saw it though!!! Rolling with laughter

Lol, it wasn't the one that crawled up my back that startled me as I knew by then that they were around. However, this one was the first one I encountered and did make me jump a bit! It's the size of 'em that gets you!

They were pretty dopey and slow but I should think they'd be quite intimidating if they scurried towards you.

Blimey, that is a big bu66er. It's a lot bigger than the spider that was fitted to the 110 when I brought it so it must be a 130 spec spider
