The bank is a tad empty but its great to be back bolting things onto real landrovers. But think I might need some seat covers.
The defender has been towing my ifor williams trailer sits really well. Theres something else think ill be needing a dixon bate tow hitch. |

Rob welcome! We used to have an active forum member called Chalky who went the opposite way and sold his Defender for a D3. Pop back over 'to the dark side' and remind him what he's missing! Even his brother in law saw the light and took your route from a D3 to a Defender!
Once again welcome! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

This is my eigth defender only had one disco. Saw a disco3 cut up a car today forcing his way through traffic at speed, then he tried to force me out of the way as I pottered along in the shiny new defender. I didnt move just smiled and waved at him. Defender drivers dont force their way through traffic. Also every customer Ive seen so far loves it. I do think discos are great but they arent real landies defenders are.

Got a steering guard to fit now. Took it through a mud run well a bog at the bottom of field got tuck first time, second time gave it some more beans and got out. The Km2's work well and clear quickly. So got it covered in mud and picked up my first couple of scratches oops. Beginning to think black is mad colour.

The disco was good but its got no sole. Since I got the defender everybody says how good it looks. Everyones waving again its great. It pulls my trailer really well. Its more fun to potter about in defender and see the world. Its great off-road since I have put the KM2's on. I like being able to customise it as well.
But there are a few things like the wiperscreen wipers are crap and the stereo is a joke. The build quailty is poor, Ive had to make one of the doors fit better. The rear lock was really stiff and one of the rear plastic panels needed fitting. Then everyone keeps asking me why some of the rivets arent painted behind the rear door. But after a visit to the factory I know now. The other thing is the price, you could get a real nice car for the sort of money it cost. But would I change it, no way but I would say land rover should step up the build on them. |

As the Defender enjoys Icon status the factory and the dealers see this as a way to supply an overpriced and ridiculously badly bolted together vehicle and we accept it lying down. Not one component has not been troublesome to someone on here... but i have had them since 1975 and i definately need therapy! 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
