I know!
The service chap said its emissions were a bit high but that was due to the oil change it had before the mot so they just took it up the road and back to give it a blat up and down the bypass and then passed with a fairly low reading so awesome news! Not bad for a 22 year old beast! |

Rewired some dash switches, removed old unused wires (inc the wires for the hands free kit from the Nokia), found a dead relay and fitted a new fuse box. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Fitted the winch bumper today.
Had some problems fitting the jate rings in as i decided I didn't want to just fill the gaps with washers. Has to grind them down slightly but it's all come off okay. Started like this Click image to enlarge Removed the grill as it's an aircon model and it stopped me from removing the bumper bolts Click image to enlarge Took the bumper off and offered up the new one Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge This is the final look for now Click image to enlarge Defender 90 XS TD5 (03 Reg) |

just got back from a wild camp. left the house last night with no idea where we would be camping except the north west coast somewhere. did so happen when passing through ardrossan the arran ferry was in. nipped down to terminal and 15mins later was sailing to arran. plenty of wild camp spots there.
ended up at lochranza on the north coast, wild camp and then in the morning a sedate drive around the island spotting seals and red dear on the way. then ferry from lochranza to main land and a enjoyable drive home. weather was very changable but by the time we were passing through glasgow the sun was out so stopped at motorway services and put the roof tent up to dry off. 300 odd miles covered and the 110 was perfect. what a great weekend. 110 xs s/wagon s3 swb soft top |

V8 Steve, sounds like you packed a lot into a short time,...and that you found some great locations,...any pics?
"Wild camp spots"?...Does that mean you do your own cooking etc, for the whole time. In view of the short notice, & not knowing where you were going etc, how & what did you cook/ eat? Pickles. |

Had some idiot drive into the side of me whilst turning right off a main road into a side road and the guy in the zafira decided to pull out on me whilst i was turning into the side road and drove straight into my back tyre and damaged his front bumper Graham

Fitted a mantec swing away wheel carrier, just got to get the old spacers off the LR wheel carrier and onto the new mantec carrier and remount the spare. Hopefully there will be a lot less rattling from the back. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |

Just got the spacers fitted and the spare wheel back on. Give it a run tomorrow and see if the rattling has stopped. It's such a basic modification (albeit pricey) that makes a huge difference. I'm pleased I did it. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
