No luck I'm afraid, couldn't see it on the forecourt and from the road there was no sign of it in the compound.
Sorry couldn't help. |

^^^^^ Hey, thanks very much for driving past Marky Boy, it's very much appreciated, it never ceases to amaze me how people on here are always more than helpful. I'll be following it up again tomorrow with new leads, I'm like a dog with a bone sometimes, I hate to let things go!

Perhaps they found it was actually a 1985 Disco 3 and felt they'd misrepresented it!

Well I've now had a reply by email, they say the car was on consignment and the owner has taken it way and might have found a buyer himself, even though it's still on their website!
Not the type of people I'd want to deal with anyway after this fiasco, I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw 'em, I just wanted people on here to know too before parting with any money. Total idiots. |

Just as well you found out "now" what they're like....
Once tha car was in your grubby mitts and something went wrong with it, imagine the hassle you'd have trying to get them to honour any warranty? Lucky escape for you, I'd say. |

BLR are renowned for this sort of behaviour. Ebay are going to do sweet f all as they would lose revenue from them.
I won two of their auctions early last year and couldn't get a response although I did get very late responses from Ebay saying they were no longer available. This was all before they started putting reserves on them. Funnily enough, I believe they are still trying to sell the very same vehicles. I believe a few of their "sales" people, and I say that in the broadest sense of the word, are members on here, but it is highly unlikely they will speak up and give you an explanation. Just be grateful you didn't part with any money |

Not me but if you have your suspicions why not suggest it to them and let them explain themselves? Not a way to conduct business and I hope the publicity will hit them where it hurts. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

If they are members on here then I doubt very much if they will ever own up after their appalling record - I don't think they'd have the bottle, they didn't even have the guts to call me on the phone and explain what the situation was, I might be wrong - if they are members then they could explain why they have such poor standards and track record and put the record straight.
Over to you BLR.......... |

If you won the vehicle, presumably you can now leave some appropriate feedback for the seller?
