It seems expensive but you get to drive and see areas that are not open normally - and the land owners have to be paid !
I bet it fills up quickly, I was the second booking today at 9am I am sure Lynsay was on the one in December - unless all of Merseyside has moved to Honiton Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Agree with Steve, it's a fun day out. The LRE West Country team were excellent. Very friendly. We did the December'13 one and for anyone interested, here's a twelve min video of what we got up to. No idea if it would be the same or similar tracks but at least you get the gist.
Costs wise, if you're local then fine but a distance traveller has to factor in an overnight stay and evening meal, which probably means overall costs wise, not much change out of £250 if you travel with the family, which puts it into the same bracket as the recent two day Welsh event and almost three times that of the April DBORC/Bampton DRD. I'm assuming fuel costs would be similar basis my location to all the events. In summary, a fun day for sure and anyone going will thoroughly enjoy it but not one for me this year. Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless. |

£145 for one day LRE compared to £240 for two days in Wales (or the option of 4) so yes of course one day is cheaper, £239 would of been cheaper. i dont see your point. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

all very true, less yes it was Lyns on the Dec one. i dont think costs factors too much on LRE days, they have a better field at £145 than i do on a £55 DRD as PM has eluded to. in fact our day and half at £85ish was still low on numbers at the April DBORC/DRD weekend. I will book tomorrow. Hopefully there will be a place left.....
LRE is so expensive, only special days like this Defender one, are justifiable. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender |
