Hi
I've got a 90 XS, the rear pistons are partially seized and the discs are ready, I wanted who has done the 110 conversion and what parts are required to do it? Is the hub the same just the disc and caliper different etc? Will 2005 90 XS 1954 86'' Series 1 tilt 1968 88” 2A 200tdi 2002 110 Hardtop |

if you fit better back brakes you should adjust the brake compensating valve or back brakes could lock before front and your end up the back coming round on you and starting a spin
adjust valve or fit a brake limiting valve if you got abs should not be as much of a problem with rears locking up , but you may find the brakes will be worse when heavy braking as the abs cuts in when you don't need it as fronts have maximum grip and backs locked should really upgrade fronts or all round ive had the back brakes lock and back come round on me , real panic brake as someone stepped out in to road ,braked went sideways let of brakes to stop skid and hit a lamp post that was in a 90 rear brakes are smaller and weaker for a reason on all cars Last edited by munch90 on 18th Jul 2014 7:13am. to be honest I would try and stay same size and go vented ( don't know if there is a conversion at all )
how have you upgraded the fronts ? if you have fitted , for example ebc front discs an pads then do the same to the rears but in standard 90 size not 110 ones if you use 110 ebc then you could be upgrading more than the front upgrades |

This /\/\/\ what have you done to the front??Only other thing I want to do is fit braided lines (give a firmer pedal feel for "quicker" brake response),but as said before, none of the main suppliers do them for td5 after 04/05.I wouldn't bother upgrading the rear, bigger calipers or vented, most of the braking occurs at the front anyways (weight transfer),as others have said it could risk locking up at the back. FYI,you'll need a good supply of Plusgas and patience to remove the rotator(abs) ring from the back of the disc. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.

Will...
Easy conversion - have done a few. 110 rear callipers, 110 late spec rear discs and two shims per side.. easy. No need for a brake bias valve, even without ABS it will still lock front brakes first as intended. And with ABS it will compensate anyway. Going vented with the standard kit won't really do a lot... 110 has a larger clamping force which is what helps. With a standard setup heat will never been an issue... unless very tuned/heavy. If needed, I can supply part numbers/parts as required. What you really need though is: Ian IRB The home of the first modified Keswick Green 90 - and the first 2.4 Puma through both the 200bhp and 550Nm barriers. www.IRBdevelopments.com www.facebook.com/irbdevelopments www.integrated316.com www.facebook.com/integrated316 |

If only I could afford them I would Ian!
If you could please supply me with the part numbers required for the Conversion that would be great! Will 2005 90 XS 1954 86'' Series 1 tilt 1968 88” 2A 200tdi 2002 110 Hardtop |
