18" Black Alloys for a Silver 110
Hi Folks,
Im picking up my new (to me) Silver 110 CSW at the end of the week and looking to get a set of 18" black boots

Anybody know what these alloys and tyres are on the Land Rover site for the new Silver / Black pack editions:

http://newsroom.jaguarlandrover.com/en-in/...ks_190214/

Cheers,
Dale

thanks for the reply...mmm, im looking for 18's so back to the drawing board....Ive been through the earlier thread about black alloys and got some great ideas from that so will keep looking

next question is who's the best (reputable) suppliers out there that have good deals on at the mo??

Final question: anybody got Khan alloys out there...any good? seem kinda pricey!!

Cheers,
Dale

I love the new Bowler wheels as sported by HG's demo.

They come in black too and have Defender load ratings. About £1500 for a set. 1951 80" S1 2.0

Whatever wheels you go for please ensure they are not labelled 'style' or are copies best pay a little more and go for approved 'genuine' ones in my book.

Folks

Please be very careful with "look a like" wheels.

The pictures below show what can happen to imitation wheels. These 20" stormers were fitted to a discovery three and had all the correct weight loads etc. One failed completely whilst driving and luckily no one was hurt. I am not convinced the out come would have been as good if they had been on one of the defenders

The other three wheels also showed cracks where the first failed.

.

On looking into the issue these were sold by a "reputable" company as original spec. Once you look closer they have a much smaller shoulder than landrover originals.

I am not saying paddocks or craddocks sell these but just be aware and careful of copies.

thanks for the heads-up

....im 'bowled over' (sorry) by the bowler lightweights in black

£1500 for a set of 5...but their website says All prices are +VAT....so that mean another 20% on top of the 1500 Shocked then the tyres

...gulp

Worth bearing in mind they will be a devil to clean too with all those spokes.

IMHO - tyre wise Cooper LTZ Zeons - great all round tyre and little if any road noise. Great profile too.
