I have BP Yellow HD springs with Hi-cap inner helper springs and Super Gaz shocks on my 110 HCP tipper. These were on it when I bought it over 2 years ago now still tows a treat sits a tad high empty but level with a 1 ton of ballast in the back or loaded up with logs.

Got them on my Defender (HD +2) - did 15K miles around Australia on varied terrain, including heavy off road and rough corrugations, with heavy load. Did the job perfectly.

I had the yellow progressive HD springs on my 90, and found them to be excellent. Not uncomfortable on road when empty, but will take the weight when you load it up/put a big trailer on. I also had standard rate HD springs on the front though for the winch bumper etc, so it sat level, it may sit quite high at the back if you only have standard springs on the front. Pete

Aren't they the same height as standard, just more resistant to compression?

Put these on my truck 2 years ago. Was dubious as they are cheap.
Went heavy duty, due to it having winch, roof rack etc. also for occasional heavy towing. They are standard height yes, but the vehicle sits noticeably higher due to them being heavy duty. I also fitted puma shocks at the same time. The ride is firm, but not too much . ![]() |

Yeah they are the same height as standard, but with the heavy duty rating you'll probably have in essense a +1" lift over the stock springs that will have inevitably sagged with age and weight. Mine certainly sat higher, which was a good thing. Pete
