2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 HT Keswick Green

[Wanted] Defender 90

I'm looking to purchase a well maintained and honest Defender 90, preferably from an enthusiast, hence this post.

I am not bothered about configuration: wagon, pick up or utility; however, solid chassis, bulkheads, etc is a must - hence wanting to find an honest car, not a painted pig!

Open to most colours, although not keen on Red or burgundy. The ideal would be Navy, Grey or Black.

Mileage is not important but some service record is (ideally at least the last 3-5 years); please no "yeah it's been serviced but I've not got a scrap of paperwork for the entire history of the vehicles life."

I'm based in Surrey but would be willing to travel for the right Defender.

Ideal budget is £7,500 and the money is ready and waiting for the right one; however, as with all things, there would be a little flexibility for the right one. Based on Autotrader results, this budget seems to throw me into the late 1990s to early 2000s; however, year is not important - quality of the Def90 is.

Any questions, feel free to ask - especially if you think I've missed any obvious points.

Hi, I am going to be selling my 2003 TD5 90 County Hardtop soon, Epson Green with 85K mile, taxed and MOT till the end of the year.

I have owned it for 3.5 years and bought it from a reputable dealer close to where I live.

Its has near complete Land Rover service history before I owned it, and has been fully serviced and maintained by Brooklyn4x4 since (all bills etc. available).

There are some photos in my gallery, but I can email more is needed.

I am selling as I have ordered a new 90XS - get one of the last and just keep it till I need a mobility scooter!!

Mechanically it is brilliant, not missed a beat in 3.5 years, I have replaced the rear a-frame ball joint and power steering pump, but it has never let me down. Body work, there are a few bits I was planning on doing before selling, touch up rust on front bumper and rear cross member/mud flap brackets. Also the paint on the windscreen brackets has seen better days and there is a little rust on the bottoms of the doors.

Other stuff I have added: Mantec spare wheel carrier, genuine fire and ice side bars, genuine front door and windscreen rubbers, new Pilkington windscreen and BFG AT 265/75/16 tyres.

Hopefully you can see from my posts that I have looked after the truck and had lots of fun in it too!!

Price wise I was probably going to look for around the £8k mark.

Still looking for a well maintained, solid, Defender 90.

Due to some unforeseen large bills, and the Defender being a discretionary purchase, my budget of £7,500 is now my maximum figure.

Also, I am not interested in normally aspirated 90s - so am limiting my search to 300tdi, TD5 and possibly a 200tdi.

Money is waiting, so please help me spend it on a good, honest, Defender before the house, tax man, children or the wife start digging into my '90 bank account'

Still looking - budget is firm at £7,500 max and I've narrowed it down to a 300tdi or newer engine.
