110 XS sw, Goodyear MTRs,
Lorry veered over for no reason, I had to pull into the stones and grass by the central reservation. The video doesn't show the severity of the twitch as I pulled back onto the road! Very close to a tank slapper, glad it was a 110 & not a 90! Mark. |

Because of the shorter wheelbase, there's a higher likely hood that once you start to tank slap, there's a higher chance it'll tumble weed into a full on slap and end up going over, especially at dual carriageway speeds!
The longer wheelbase makes it harder to tank slap in the first place (inherently more stable), but has a higher threshold of 'error correction' for the driver to sort it out before you go past the point on any control! Either way, that was a close one! |

Hmm,he was probably trying to avoid one of the billions of bits of blown out tyres which litter the A34. Still, he should have indicated really. Some section of the '34 are also notorious for cross-winds, although that wouldn't apply in that particular section. 2011 110 USW

I think he heard you playing Duran Duran and was doing us all a favour
![]() Seriously, a close call - I'd be contacting the company and sharing the video with them. |

what an absolute bellend, i would have slowed in front of him, just to make him go through the gears again. Its unusual to see them in the left, they are usually trying to over take each other (for 6 miles)
