Some Guidance Please Hi Guy's, Just after a little help here... I have a friend in Italy who is looking at a 1990 Defender 110, It sounds like it requires a new engine... I have include the link address below. http://www.regione.fvg.it/rafvg/cms/RAFVG/.../2283.html My friend is asking what do we think it's worth (guestimate) and how much for a replacement engine... Any thoughts are most welcome... It will be his first Defender and he doesn't mind a small project... Can't see anything useful on the link (may be work's firewall)? Condition is key. I would say a naff one from £1k, a good one up to £7 or 8 in really good cond, although this one clearly isn't. Engine wise, depends what you want to put in. If you want another 25 year old engine in, can get one for a few hundred £ out of a scrappy (most likely a disco), or you can get one from Turner Engineering, completely rebuilt, for £1500 ish.
