Has anyone experienced coolant loss from the cap on the coolant tank in their Puma. I was traveling on motorway, hot day, sat on the speed limiter with the air con on full blast. Noticed steam though the wing and rear view mirrors. Temp gauge still reading normal, limped to service station. Chassis wet and wet around coolant tank but no signs of any leaks. I've since topped up the coolant with no further loss. Is it possible that the leak was from the pressurised coolant cap? I was considering a remap but I'm put off if the cooling system can't cope with the standard tune.

The caps on the expansion bottles have been known to leak, they are fairly cheap so replacement isn't too much of a burden. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.
