Following on from my "help I've done me front diff" thread, it turns out my diff lever has too much free play (careful John).
How do I adjust this? I have been through all the manuals I have, it's either not in there or I've missed it (probably the latter). I can only find info on the high/low part of it. It wasn't me! |

I can only speak for the Puma when I swapped mine out for a replacement one. I may also be off the mark for your scenario. If yours is similar and you can gain access by removing the 'tunnel' access panel all will become clear. There is an adjustable turnbuckle that you can adjust to take up any free play.
If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! Last edited by K9F on 26th Jun 2014 9:16am. Edited 1 time in total |

If I remember correctly, there's not much scope for adjustment but on the pivot point of the linkage that is parralel to the main gearbox, if you take the pivot pin out and pull the linkage out of the way, there should be adjustment on the "peg" that sits out of the gearbox casing so you can push the pivot point away from the gearbox or pull it in tighter. This should help, not mine but you can see the threaded "peg" going into the gearbox casing
