Jeez, that takes me back. That is exactly what my old mans first one was like

I was still at Junior school back then when you had milk in those trangular cartons for morning break!

Glass bottles for us too. Think we were a bit posher down South. I only went to school every third day because that's when I got the turn with the only pair of shoes me and my other two brothers posessed. We were so poor that when I reached puberty I had to cut the fingers off my mother's Marigold gloves or use a Marathon wrapper............

milk! in a glass bottle? we used to dream of milk! we were that poor it were water, aey water from a stagnent stream!

I was taught to drive in a lwb Gypsy we had them at work as service vehicles when I was an apprentice.
The early swb ones had what was called Flexitor suspension never rode in on so I can't comment on the ride.
Quite a few years ago there was one for sale near me it was listed as a series one and had a series grill but it was definitely a Gypsy.
Our vehicle's saw heavy use as we used to pull tracks on and off crawler cranes (NCK) with them.
