I'd say normal, mines the same.
I used to have similar issues with my 90 but after a full service all was like a dream again and has been since. Axle oils were changed and associated other various fluids with a full service and UJ's greased, not sure what other magic was applied though.. Try differ gear change styles too and see if that makes any change, I find that slow changes aren't always required as such but the technique can make a difference. I tend to ease off the gas completely for a split second until the bite is taken up and only then re-apply the throttle. Same technique up and down, with I mine actually find everything smoother carrying weight or towing. Just a few ideas anyway. |

That's a bit of a relief as I didn't fancy changing diffs. I'll still check the drive flanges and when it gets it's "garage service" I'll get them to thoroughly go over every ball joint and bush.

I think there was some issues once with A frame bracket bolts or something, could well be as you say bushes etc.
It's all down to the drivetrain movement and slack being taken up and vice versa. Every action causes a reaction so to speak. Bushes make quite a difference, I know my shock bushes need doing now (which I will do soon) the ride is awful thanks to the play in the bushes, basically a rattle, you can just tell there is more movement there than should be. Same principle really. I highly doubt anything serious is in the offing. Mines an early Puma. ![]() |
