As a matter of interest, why would you want to?

I don't understand why you want to do it as I think it's the only improvement from an td5.
But yes by disconnecting the plug the ecu doesn't know you are in low gear so will not use the anti stall mode. You can't do this anymore then: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jhuKLrjJLg&feature=related just after 1 minute Roel 1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001) 1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009) 2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts. 2003 90 Td5 (2009-now) |

It won't affect the anti-stall at all, just the idle jack, which is a totally different and independent thing.
Idle jack is a safety feature to prevent you coming a cropper on very steep descents, where the very low 1st or reverse gear will cause loss of traction. I have to admit I still don't understand why anyone would want to disable it, but the method described above will do just that. |
