I was given some interesting advice on fitting heavy duty parts. Upgrading parts only transfers the failure to the next bit of the drive train, upgrade the half shaft then the diff breaks, so leave the half shafts alone as the are quicker and easier to change.

I dont agree with this theory
Over the last 14 years i'm driving with rear maxidrive diflook and heavy duty shafts. i never broke anything until last week In the front axle i have mcnamara diff lock its heavy duty differential and ashcroft heavy duty ring and pinions replacing the front half shafts in the middle of the Terrain is Unwanted and Uncomfortable. 1999 Defender TD5 110 |
