Attempted spare wheel theft in North Watford
Ok, so they were not attempting to thieve from my Defender as I was in the works van (VW Transporter) - but it was an attempt to steal my spare wheel, and I guess if these scrotes are stupid enough to try during broad daylight in a private car park, they'll try anything !!

I was parked up in a customer car park at 1.15pm today, backed up to the rear of an old Shogun - they may have tried to have the underslung spare off that first, but the owner said that it is so rusted on that nothing will shift it. I came out of the customers building to see someone lying under the back of my van, someone shouted, he dropped his spanner/wrench, got up and into a silver/purple '02 plate Citroen Xsara (I have the reg number) and they took off - taking the side out of their car on the way out the car park (the 4" galv gate posts did a good job of it Smile )

They were gone so quick that I didnt have time to get the reg number, and as I had an armful of gear I couldnt give the scrote the benefit of my steel toecaps!.............they drove off up what is basically a dead end (I didnt realise at the time), so a couple of minutes later they drove back - this time I got the reg number, and shortly after that Herts Police got given it.

As the Police are dealing, I won't post the whole reg number...........but it's an 02 plate Citroen Xsara, ending in MMJ, the near side is battered, and the colour is silvery/purple - hopefully the feds will find it, and the occupants. Td5 110 HD Hardtop.......not quite standard Smile

Pity you couldn't get them on camera, then they really are screwed then.
Keep an eye on the area, chances are they will be back, select ally if they are the stupid type.

Thumbs Up

Not the first as it can be a relative quick and easy gain with the correct tooling......
