thanks about the two plastic rivits in the corners ... wonder LR have used both fir-tree clips and those rivits?
no problem regarding the plastic surround at the locking button ... it keeps lifting by itself when I unlock the door. My starting regime is putting the key in the ignition and pushing the plastic fitting down ![]() |

In my experience the some of the door poppets always break or become damaged no matter how careful you are
You could made do and mend, perhaps using the blade of a spade would make the door card removal easy, but some folk out there do it for a living and do it the professional way. Would you be happy if you saw me using an old screw driver to pry off the door panels of your truck? I do totally take your point there are tools that are a waste of money but for me comes down to pride in the job, I get more out of the job if i know its done right as Steve said the tool he recommended is peanuts and will last a lifetime, the tools i recommended were used again today to remove the roof lining from an connect. Sometimes i think its about pride over ingenuity. |
