I'm just looking at buying a very reasonably priced, very early 2.25 petrol 90.
It's very original. 65K on the clock with every piece of paper dating back to original registration. Runs beautifully with just minor a minor bit of wear of wear and teat/patina.
Front doors have been replace but with repplacements from the right era (lift up handles etc)
For its last MOT it needed some rear crossmember and front bulkhead member welding, done properly by the looks of it and judging by the receipt
Footwells have been replaced at some point (neatly)
The only problem after ages crawling over it is some crumbling on bulhkhead top rail, under the windscreen.
My plan would be to stuff it full of wax for now and eventually (few years) replace the bulkhead with a galv one (with or without chassis at same time)
Long winded description but 2 questions?
1. Any MOT implications with rust up there?
2. Any problems i'm storing up leaving this for a couple of years?
I know i could get a repair panel from YRM but i dont want to lose original appearance/vents
Advice greatly appreciated He who dies with the most toys...wins!
