I contacted Clive (pressbrake) from Black Sheep Offroad a few weeks ago and he said he was just having a month off making them whilst he moved house/workshop.

So if he will no longer supply them, but someone can get the measurements.

Got mine done by RCV in Staplehurst for £650.
Did a fantastic job nice strong welds and looks good as new ![]() Bit of a way to travel though! |

Fortunately the 110" I've bought just had a new one fitted
![]() The receipt reads: To remove towbar assembly and fuel tank plus all wiring along cross member. Lift body from chassis. Cut off complete cross member plus section of chassis nearside and offside. Fit and weld new cross member and chassis sections. Paint and wax oil. Labour: £640 plus VAT Paint and materials: £75 plus VAT Cross member: £195 plus VAT Total: £1,092.00 ![]() Glad I didn't pay for it but does look a neat job |

Im still going ps my prices are 90 £400 inc 110 £500inc and td5s £550 inc and yes I do rust treat the insides.

I am taking delivery of an old defender that needs a new cross member but as this is a project I would like to do the work myself.
As this is a 90 truck cab I was after advise on how to tackle the project. I read somewhere the simplest way to do the job is to drill out the rivets in the pick up bed to remove the floor but any suggestions welcome! Andy |
