It's like a u-shaped piece of rubber to protect contact areas. Looked for something for ages but then asked Trek and they had a draw full of the stuff........

Was hoping it went higher up over the nut & exposed thread - mine's rubbing on the awning case and will wear a hole if I'm not too careful! |
