2008 90 XS for sale.
It is with deep regret that we are having to sell our 2008 Defender 90 XS 2.4tdci. We have owned it from new and brought it as a second car but my wife's MS has deteriorated to the point where she cannot drive it and we cannot have a second car that my wife cannot drive.

It is Rimmini Red in absolutly mint condition, unmarked and was professionally waxoiled when new. It has never been off road or used for towing. 15,400 miles, under warrenty until 3/2011.

We are asking £19,500 ono and if anyone would like further details please just e-mail me directly at jeckelstone-c@yahoo.co.uk for photographs and telephone number.

Many thanks

Richard

Richard,

I am sorry for your woes and it is indeed a shame that your first post is to sell your Defender and leave us! In my humble opinion it sounds a lovely vehicle and due to a shortness in availability of second hand Pumas I think it is reasonably priced and I hope you get a sale! Let us know if you sell it!

I am sure I am not alone in wishing 'you and yours' all the very best! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

K9F,

Many thanks for your message, it was very much appreciated. After over 25 years of LR's, we finally brought a new one and it has been looked after like a child, and parting with it will be very difficult. We have had fantastic times at LR shows and rallys, enjoying the company of other owners. We have toured the UK over the years seeing sights over hedgerows missed by ordinary car drivers, and getting to fantastic views and sights that my wife would not have been able to ordinarily get to.

However, we do hope to get a classic Series LR 1, 2 or 2a as a toy for shows and possibly the odd tour.

This forum has been excellent for advice and views on all things LR and maybe one day, someone will actually work out the burning question as to just why they are so adictive.

Best wishes

Richard

Richard,

Glad to hear you may not be leaving the Land Rover marque in it's entirety.

For me the answer is simple....The rising 'child-like excitement' I feel every time I unlock the door of my Land Rover in preparation for a journey. Never have I owned a vehicle where that excitement hasn't diminished in time. 18 months later and it's the same feeling as when I initially collected it. My Discoverys came close! But not as good as the Defender! Just a personal opinion from 'child's perspective' despite being nearly 49 years of age! Laughing Good luck with the sale. Thumbs Up

Best Regards K9 If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Update: 1 June 2009.

Sadly, the gentleman who came this bank holiday weekend found out today when the banks opened that he did not have the funds to complete the purchase...........so this is still for sale.

We would consider offers based on £19,000 as my wifes new car is now due for delivery.

Best regards

Richard

POM has a post in the general section 'Potential New Owner'- may be worth sending him a PM.

Good luck with the sale.
