Farnell Nelson (Formerly Hillendale)
Just a quick note to say how impressed I was with Farnell when I took my Defernder 90 in for some warranty work recently.

The diff lock lever was seized and there were some rusty bolts and rusty front bumper. (Unheard of, I know!! Very Happy )

I have my Defender serviced by a local independent garage and, although the work should have been covered, I was a little unsure what sort of a reception I'd get.

They were extremely helpful and sorted all the problems out over two visits. The second visit was because parts had to be ordered.

Hats off to them and many thanks.

Tony

A pleasure Mike.

We all moan (rightly so mostly) about lack of service at main dealers so it's only right to flag up a good experience.

Cheers,

Tony

I've just spoken to them myself actually about a service price (And only just found out about the name change!), and they were by far the most helpful and informative on the phone. They also highlighted the 'Open Field Action' outstanding on the vehicle, which no other dealer had mentioned. A big Thumbs Up from me! An engine to TDi for!

The service does seem to vary wildly between dealers! I'm trying to buy a 90 at the moment and some just aren't interested. I guess if you are not buying a 80+k range rover a 30k defender isn't worth the effort.

But, I have found a couple of dealers who have been extremely helpful in providing info and decent pricing.
