Morning Caterham,

Am into my 'Vampire Summer Shifts' until Octrober now....Only come out at night. Hours I work I get the forum to myself and the Australian and American brethren.

At least it's not the Defender this time and someone elses property. Things may be looking up for you after all.

Cool Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Talking of bad luck,

Left our caravan in storage in France last year thinking it would be easier and cheaper than using the ferries.

Didn't reckon on bar-stewards of French farmers!!!

12-bore shot all down one side. It's still in the repairers, been there since February.

Hi Maxxed,

Unfortunately not. When you sign the agreement for the storage there's a little section which states that it's at your own risk!! I believe that this is not uncommon.

The insurance is picking up the bill apart from the excess of course so it could be worse.

The really annoying thing is that we were/are selling it and it was only when the prospective buyer was making arrangements to view it that the damage was noticed.
Sad

I don't suppose you expect your van to be shot at while its being stored Mad

you would expect it to be better looked after for the prices these places charge. I'm looking for somewhere to store my twin axle car trailer for the first time and the costs involved are scary Shocked

Laughing Laughing ^^^ Laughing Laughing

France? Let alone being shot, I'm surprised they didn't try to serve it up on a plate and eat it! On reflection maybe they were and wanted to make sure it was dead first which makes a change!

K9F,

What I did look for was a silhouette outline of a person amongst the shotgun spray!! Surprised

Didn't find one though.

Could also have been the silhouette of a frog, snail, horse or any other French delicacy you can think of. Human would probably have been waving a white flag long before the trigger was pulled.
