If you think that's bad, try moving from a Jag XKR 5.0 V8 Supercharged to a MY13 CSW every over weekend. It's not good for your expectations..... My Disco 'best bits'

Thing is, I know my 200tdi will always start, always get me home and I have fixed every one of the problems it has ever thrown at me. It will soon be going in to a workshop for the welding to the bulkhead and converting to a utility at which point it will be perfect for what I need as a utility truck I can use every day for work but also load with whatever I need and take my mates to the pub. I don't want to and will not be getting rid of the 200Tdi.
One of the reasons I want a new one is to have a posher land rover to keep "as best" which I can put leather and posh bits in to make a comfortable long distance cruiser, yes I could do that now but putting posh bits in a Tdi is like carpeting a shed, achievable but a great way to waste money. Thing is, for what I'm looking at spending on a new 110 I could get a second hand vanquish and I know which one will be nicer to drive and own and more fun. But with production coming to an end and this being the only real chance I think I will get in my life to buy exactly the vehicle I want brand new its too tempting to let slip by. Thinking this at the moment
![]() Click image to enlarge My local dealer is doing a deal where you get £1000 of accessory's for free so thinking ether Black Sawtooths or light guards, snorkel and roof rack. Going for a base spec simple and standard so that I can upgrade the parts I want |

The 110 SW looks great in that colour.
I have been a real sucker for them since I had my 1965 109" s/wagon in Marine Blue. Always hated the fact I had to sell it back in 1992. ![]() Smiling again now, though, with a foot in both camps. ![]() Click image to enlarge 1970 Series 2A 88" |
