Wow! A touch under £3k for a series one with shot chassis and bulkhead, non-original engine and rear axles, seized gearbox, no tailgate, and no re-useable body panels! That's a lot to pay for a bonnet!
Is this really what Series Ones are worth now? If so I shall have to re-assess mine! There's an interesting 80" restoration project on Ebay at the moment, item number 111356841456, a 1949 0610 series chassis. Interesting to see what that makes, especially in the aftermath of the TV restoration programme. |

Goes next week to be restored. To be fair to it, the chassis and bulkhead would potentially go again with a LOT of work, something the new owner sounds like he has, lucky him! Still got my decent 80", a couple of 107"s and a 86" so not completely out of series 1s just yet |

I was on a course with a few of the lads from your place a couple of weeks ago Jeremy and I mentioned seeing your name popping up on here regularly.
They said you had a a few series but I'm very impressed with your collection. Man after my own heart with all those series LR's
