Hi Albertdefender,
The children have not changed either, still pens, pencils & sweeties. Wonderful experience & lovely people. Was our first experience of camping in the snow at minus 20 degs., when we were advised to only take warm weather clothing. |

Exciting looking trip - I think we came across the same rock as you on a previous trip!

Hi Albertdefender!
Ah, how you have brought the memories flooding back. And aren't the Berbers so right - 'hurrying kills'! Our friend in his Series 3 had repairs probably at that very same garage, they could not have been more helpful and obliging, working all night. Though as I recall, they did not take too kindly when his wife took it upon herself to barter down the, already very reasonable price. We have wonderful memories of wild camping in the mountains and down in the desert, under amazingly clear blue, star-strewn skies. Trooper |

Hi trooper. We had a breakdown in the desert with the rear spring, but we did not realise it. Back to Zagora we went for lunch in a restaurant, and a biker berber was waiting for us near the Land Rover and said : look at your spring you're about to have an accident,,, come with me to the garage and I'm going to fix it... the garage was DAKAR AUTO in Zagora,, three guys to fix my spring OMG.. these guys worked for peanuts. Lovely people and so kind as well
Yes trooper the sky is AMAZING. |
