Here's a picture of my new Defender 110. It's my first ever Land Rover, only owned it for a few weeks and I absolutely love it. She's fourteen years old, there's some rust and I'm quite concerned about the security issues but I can't believe it's took me so long to buy one. My one year old Kia Sportage is now definitely playing second fiddle to this beast
Can anyone tell me if this is a standard Land Rover colour? Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Thanks for the welcome, lads. Sorry for the delay in replying, I'm currently bobbing about in the middle of the north sea on an oil rig.
I suppose my main priority is beefing up the security, well, putting some on , then tackling the rusty doors. After that the sky's the limit. |

Lovely Defender and colour! Security is something I worry about too! Mine has a lot of mods so I'd be gutted if it went! Also spent a lot on repairs and maintenance getting it right (fair bit left) so that'd be bad as well for me.
Washington- Tyne and Wear? I'm not far away in the wear valley! 2001 Td5 CSW (weekend and snow mobile) Plenty of lights, M/T tyres EGR delete, roofrack, swing away wheel carrier, snorkel. 2016 E220 CDI Night Edition Estate 2014 VW UP! 2x D3 and 1x D4 GONE |

Thanks for the comment, 110MGD.
I was up the Wear Valley within days of buying her, it seems to be the Land Rover's natural habitat Followed my mate, in his Discovery, round some of Durham's less treacherous green lanes and on my last weekend home the wife and I went over from Burnhope Reservoir to Alston. The security, or lack of, really concerns me but it's something I'll have to work on improving. |

Looks tidy! We're based in Washington so I look forward to spotting it about
Security we usually recommend the X Engineering pedal locks and a decent alarm/immobiliser. We have a local alarm supplier fits them at our workshop, we've got an agreed method on the Defender to protect as much as possible - immobilise everything possible! |
